Managed and oversaw the daily operations of the in-house OSP engineering group, for KDL & CMN. I was responsible for providing accurate daily & weekly production reports to upper management. Also, I provided an engineering schedule, which was updated daily & weekly. Worked in conjunction with all Project Managers to resolve any and all issues, which included current or previously engineered routes i.e. permitting, revisions, makeready, etc. Pre-ride proposed routes, to resolve any and all questions prior to OSP engineers arriving on routes to be engineered.

Managed and oversaw the CMN (Cinergy MetroNet) OSP engineers, daily strand mapping of the city builds, which were FTTH / FTTP projects that encompassed every residential and commercial address within the city limits and other revenue-generating areas within the county. QC’D all work completed by the OSP engineers prior to submitting it to the CAD Department.  Worked in conjunction with in-house permit agents to resolve various questions regarding permits on all proposed routes.

Managed and oversaw the OSP engineering and permitting of numerous fiber optic cable routes within Norfolk Southern (T-Cubed) R.O.W. in the following areas: Atlanta metro, Atlanta, Ga. to Jacksonville, Fl.; Manassas, Va. to Boyce, Va. and Boyce, Va. to Riverton Junction, Va.; Blacksburg, SC. to Atlanta, Ga. and Chattanooga, Tn. to Memphis, Tn.

Managed and oversaw the OSP engineering and permitting of a fiber optic cable route from Memphis, Tn. to Nashville, Tn., which included a sonet ring within the Memphis city limits. All permitting was submitted to T.D.O.T. and to the City of Memphis for approval.

Managed and oversaw the OSP engineering and permitting of five separate sonet rings within the Atlanta, Ga. city limits, for Metromedia Fiber Network (MFN).  Areas of the above mentioned were engineered to accommodate AT&T / MFN for a joint build venture.

Supervised approximately 30 construction inspectors, who submitted documentation (redlines) reporting daily progress of the project.  Supervised the engineering of the fiber optic cable route from New Orleans, La. to Pensacola, Fl. and a joint build venture project between QWEST and Gulf Telephone from Mobile, Al. to Jacksonville, Fl.. Worked on premise for 12+ years for MST & T / US West , responsible for CATV make-ready walkouts with various power companies and CATV companies. Responsible for identifying all separations, on existing outside plant, to verify if outside plant was in compliance with NESC. Determined which utilities required Make-Ready, and identified what re-arrangements were required by each utility. Ordered and distributed any and all construction materials necessary to perform required makeready functions to construction sub-contractors. Approved required CIP’S with construction supervisor and signed off on all Change Orders.
